Technology Systems Specialist

STEM For Kids® programs (stemforkids.net/programs) provide educational enrichment in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) for school age children through innovative camps, afterschool and workshops in/outside schools. Fueled by tremendous demand for our engineering, computing and automation programs, we are furthering the reach of the highly acclaimed STEM For Kids® system in various geographies across United States.

This position is responsible for ensuring that STEM For Kids’ information technology systems and strategies are successful in helping to achieve its business, financial and customer/ franchisee /employee service goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and provide support to territory teams for the Registration Management System. Provide Tier 2 technical support for customer / client /external stakeholder issues.
  • Support technology setup and upkeep for all territory team and franchisees.
  • Provide technical support for territory specific website setup.
  • Maintain STEM For Kids corporate website.
  • Lead development and enhancements to the Registration Management System.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in technology, or related is required.
  • Expertise in WordPress and PHP database applications using MySQL.
  • Working knowledge of .Net and SQL.
  • Knowledge of REST API and others to achieve needed integrations.
  • Experience working with websites in a hosted environment.
  • A problem solver with a strong customer service/user focus.
  • Ability to think strategically yet work the details, take ownership/accountability, work in a team-centric and cross-functional environment, multitask and have exceptional client service skills.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and goal-oriented.
  • Good communication skills; able to draft processes and train stakeholders.

Business Development Associate - Work from home

(REQUIRED: must live in NC within 60 miles of Raleigh, NC) Join our team as a Business Development Associate, and you’ll have the opportunity to build your career with the benefit of working remotely from your home. Director of Marketing

STEM For Kids® programs (stemforkids.net/programs) provide educational enrichment in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) for school age children through innovative camps, afterschool and workshops in/outside schools. Fueled by tremendous demand for our engineering, computing and automation programs, we are furthering the reach of the highly acclaimed STEM For Kids® system in various geographies across United States.

The Director of Marketing will lead strategic brand initiatives that drive ownership of STEM For Kids® innovative educational enrichment offerings and drive profitable sales and traffic (product launch, campaigns and sales strategy).  This team member will work closely with corporate and franchise teams to ensure brand health and will be responsible for specific program development and creative strategy aligned with building a fun and fit culture, elevated emotional equity and creation of consumer demand.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and driving key strategies to accomplish the operating plan, brand objectives and support growth across the business
  • Building and executing the plans required for successful implementation of specific brand programs. Plan to include, but not limited to, Public Relations, Social, Search SEO, Display, Advertising/Marketing Communications, B to B, Loyalty, Events, Local Marketing and Guest Experience.
  • Implementing initiatives through effective communication with the leadership team, franchisees and internal/external groups.
  • Education of internal partners to ensure brand health.
  • Integrating Internal and External brand strategies and initiatives into a cohesive annual marketing plan/calendar.
  • Analyzing specific brand program performance/results relative to plans and stated objectives.
  • Representing the brand from a marketing perspective at a variety of internal and external venues including, but not limited to, franchisee/owner meetings, Convention, tradeshows/events, etc.
  • Follow company policies, uphold professional standards, and perform all work in a manner respectful of others.

Qualifications:

  • Prior marketing/communications strategy development and execution experience at an advertising agency, in-house advertising/marketing communications department, or brand management function. Retail, hospitality, with upscale brands, experiences a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, Advertising or Communications – or equivalent years of relevant experience. MBA preferred.
  • Experience developing new strategies, building business cases, gaining internal/external support, and driving implementation, with a track record of solid decision making.
  • Ability to think strategically yet organize the details, take ownership/accountability, work in a team-centric and cross-functional environment, multitask and have exceptional client service skills.
  • Knowledge of the education industry and / or the extra-curricular educational industry (like camps, after-school, etc.) are plus.
